Small Touches, Big Impact: 9 Ways to Elevate the Guest Experience
When it comes to planning a luxury South Asian wedding, we often talk about the big picture — the outfits, the venue, the food, the music. But what truly sets a wedding apart and stays in the hearts of your guests long after the last song is played? It’s the small, thoughtful touches.
Here are some of the small touches we included that had major impact:
🎁 1. Personalised Tote Bags & Tuck Shop
Each guest received a custom tote bag that they could fill with their favourite essentials and little indulgences — from snacks to beauty goodies. We created a full Tuck Shop experience, featuring nostalgic treats that felt personal and playful.
📰 2. Wedding Newsletter
A printed wedding newsletter was slid under doors, complete with event timings, outfit themes, the couples love story, a thank-you note, and even a fun crossword puzzle. Guests felt informed, relaxed, and connected.
🕯 3. Signature Wedding Scent & Candle Favors
We worked with a scent designer to create a custom wedding fragrance, used throughout the venue and given to guests in the form of beautifully packaged candles. The smell now brings everyone right back to the celebration.
✨ 4. Perfume Bar
We set up a perfume bar where guests could try and take home mini bottles of fragrances. A luxe, sensory touch that doubled as a gift.
👜 5. Pastel Potlis with Jumkas, Bindis & Bangles
At our Mehndi, guests were greeted with organza pastel potli bags filled with Jhumkas, bindis and bangles — not just accessories, but pieces of culture. It made everyone feel beautifully part of the celebration.
🍜 6. Maggi Bar (Midnight Snacks!)
What’s better than Maggi at midnight? We surprised our guests with a Maggi bar after a night of dancing — comfort food with a nostalgic twist that everyone loved.
🧃 7. Detox Bar
To balance out the celebrations, we offered a Detox Bar with infused waters, signature mocktails. The best way to revive after a long night!
🍽 8. Steel Copper Thalis
We served traditional meals on copper thalis, blending tradition and elegance. It wasn’t just about presentation — it was about honouring a cultural dining experience in a modern luxury setting.
📸 9. Polaroid Guestbook Station
We placed Polaroid cameras around the venue with a custom guestbook. The candid snaps and heartfelt messages from loved ones became a treasure we’ll always cherish.
